CNN Reports – Stress and Teeth Grinding go Hand in Hand.
CNN Reports that people with high stress suffer a greater risk of damaging their teeth due to excessive teeth grinding called Bruxism. Excessive Bruxism can cause damage outside the normal wear and tear to the teeth by grinding them down abnormally apart from regular chewing. Bruxism normally occurs while sleeping and can cause flattening and chipping of the teeth. Customized mouth guards are recommended to alleviate this problem.
